The Rev. Canon DeVere Murrell

Canon DeVere Murrell

The Parish Family of St. Matthias Church in Barbados welcomes you to our website, and to our Church if you are ever on the island or if you live here and may be visiting.

St. Matthias has always been proud of  its simplicity of worship in the Anglican tradition and we continue to offer Holy Communion and/or Sung Eucharist every Sunday with Sung Mattins on the third Sunday of the month. Our Family Service, a non traditional worship experience,  takes place on the First Sundays and this is followed by Holy Communion.

We would be delighted to hear from you through our guestbook, email or the post. Of course, you are also welcome to join our message board.

May God Bless you and yours.

SERVICES

Sundays   : Eucharist 7.00 & 8.45 a.m.
            Sunday School at both services

We hold just one service (8.00 a.m.) on the last Sunday of each month containing a fifth Sunday. This obtains for every Sunday in August.

Wednesdays: 6.30 & 9.30 a.m.

A priest is available on Wednesdays from 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon and on Fridays from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. or by appointment.
