Prayers for Protection from Hurricanes
Almighty God, Governor of all things in heaven and on earth, at whose word the stormy wind arises, receive our humble petitions for protection from hurricane, storm and tempest. We acknowledge our great unworthiness, but we humbly beseech you that you would mercifully so hold the winds of heaven, that we may dwell safely from fear of evil.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.
O God, the creator and Preserver of all mankind, receive our humble supplications, at this season, for protection from hurricane, storm and tempest, pestilence and epidemics; that we, receiving benefits beyond our deserving, may learn to pass the days of our sojourning in godly fear and in humble gratitude for your wondrous loving kindness.
