Prayer Group Leader
The St. Thomas Parish Church Prayer Group was established in January 1999, and the membership officially enrolled on 9th December 2001.
It presently has a membership of 20 women, and meetings are held every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. except on the 3rd Thursday of each month when the members visit the shut-ins in the community.
Its objectives are:
- To intercede on behalf of the church, the nation and the worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service;
- To visit and give encouragement to the sick and shut-ins in the community;
- To equip the members to assist the work of evangelism through thoughtful prayer and the study of the Word;
- To further develop among members the gift of prayer;
The prayer Group interacts with prayer groups from other churches and also keeps prayer vigils periodically.
Plans for the future
The Prayer Group desires to embrace the members of the church in the reading and meditation of God’s word. It also hopes to produce a news letter periodically.
They also have guest speakers from time to time and also use various devotionals to assist us in our spiritual journey.
